Hi, I’m Kylie Shotton, the proud founder of Better Way of Being.  I established this little business in 2014 to be able to make a positive difference in the world by assisting individuals to facilitate the changes they desired through wellness and lifestyle coaching. Upon finding PSYCH-K® in 2018, I have dedicated my time to just facilitating this incredibly powerful technique.

I absolutely LOVE what I do and I am incredibly passionate about sharing knowledge with the world. I believe we all have infinite power within us and I love seeing the light go on inside my clients when they realise the amazing potential they have to control their life outcomes.

​When I am not ‘working’, I love doing yoga,  paddle boarding, spending time in nature,  immersing in books and podcasts and spending time with my family at home on the Mornington Peninsula (Australia).

My story is by no means unique, in fact it may be your story!!

Go back to 2012 and my world started to fall apart. I was suffering anxiety and running limiting beliefs like: I’m not good enough, I’m not worthy, other people are better than me, who am I to play big in this world? I was also being lead by fears such as the fear of disappointing people or getting things wrong.

To those on the outside my life looked amazing but there was this underlying stress of not knowing my place in the world outside of my family. I felt out of touch with my own identity and purpose. I buried my head and ignored the inner talkings and thoughts, I started to suffer with anxiety, my body expressed this through my gut health and life spiralled from there. My relationships were affected. I was effectively, on a subconscious level, trying to prove my beliefs were right. I suffered mind, body and spirit and ultimately so did the people around me.

I wasn’t taking control and dealing with it, so life found a way to make me pay attention. Long story short, the next four years would take me to the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. That was where I eventually found myself. I learnt to be comfortable being uncomfortable, I lived my greatest fears and survived stronger and more determined than ever. So what about now? Well, I am still riding some of life’s big ups and downs, just as we are meant to, but now I know how to be calm and non-attached so I can continue to function efficiently and progress no matter what life brings. Today, I can say, I am happy, peaceful, knowing and flowing.

So how did this journey help? In 2014 I started down the path of being a health and wellness coach, when very little was known about it. This evolved to include PSYCH-K®  facilitation after observing that just like myself, those I was working with, had beliefs that were ultimately determining and affecting their well-being. I thought this deserved a closer look. What I discovered would change the game completely! Now my goal is use the information and techniques I learnt, to help you make the changes you need to reach your Better Way of Being….


Over the years I have literally educated myself in every modality that came across my path in a somewhat desperate attempt to find the answer or quick fix that would unleash it’s magic and make everything suddenly better. What ensued was an amazing journey of discovery, self awareness and responsibility for my own happiness that ultimately lead me to PSYCH-K® This for me was the key. All the modalities I specialised in worked and provided a valuable part of my journey, they were just taking more time and energy than I could realistically lend in this fast paced modern world. I was actually getting exhausted keeping up just in case I slipped back to were I had been. Which happened on a few occasions over the course of that time. PSYCH-K® bought everything together in a fast, effective and powerful technique that saw me unleashing change like I’d never experienced before. Sustained long term change that I could step into when I needed and then relax.

Ancient and indigenous traditions teach that the quality of our lives and how long we live, at root, comes down to the way we think of ourselves in the world. To replace the limiting beliefs that were learned from our families, friends and social institutions with new self empowering perspectives truely does change everything.
